MITCHELLS AND BUTLERS PLC
Summer 2004 onwards
Our business relationship with Mitchells & Butlers (M&B) began in the true sense
of the word when we were invited to give a presentation and product demonstration
at a meeting involving 12 Regional Building Managers in Brighton, in the Summer of 2004.
As a result of that meeting, orders began to arrive from M&B's select team of approved
electrical contractors across the country, each requiring a specific solution for the
premises involved. The equipment required was mostly concerned with providing access;
with intercom units and portable ramps of all shapes and sizes being the most popular
requirements from our range of Disabled Access Solutions.
We were able to be very flexible too, since some premises were Listed Buildings, with,
in some cases, thatched roofs. In this instance, the intercom units were supplied with
brass door-plates, to be more in keeping with the ambience and character of the building.
Those more modern establishments in the estate, were more comfortable with a brushed
aluminium finish; in harmony with the bistro atmosphere.
The ramps are all fitted with raised safety barriers to prevent the wheels accidentally
falling off the ramp, and the actual "road" surface is baked on, to give excellent
traction for wheelchair users.
In the two years that we have been working with M&B we are also very pleased to confirm
that not a single unit has yet been reported as faulty, nor returned for repair.
A Product Reliability Record of 100% is rare, and also very difficult to achieve.
It is also one which we are justifiably truly proud of!
