SPECSAVERS OPTICAL GROUP

February 2006 onwards

Ringlink first began discussions with Specsavers Optical Group in the Spring of 2005.
The discussions were based on the need to provide all appropriate Specsavers properties
with products which would afford compliance with the new Disability Discrimination Act.
To date, we have discussed Portable Access Ramps,
Wireless Toilet Alarms
and
Wireless 'Touch Glass' Window Alerters.

The procurement criteria were very clearly defined. Specsavers were looking for a range
of reliable, high-quality manufactured products at realistic and competetive prices;
echoing the very same standards of high quality products, affordability and excellent
customer service that the Specsavers Brand has been built on.

Our Wireless 'Touch Glass' Window or Glass Door Alerter is by far the most popular product
supplied by Ringlink Communications Limited to date. The implementation of our fast,
efficient production capability and consignment-tracked delivery service, means that
even orders placed at very short notice with almost no delivery lead-time, are delivered
on time and within budget.

The Alerter itself is a simple yet very cost-effective idea, as is so often the case with
innovative products. The fact that the Alerter is battery-powered means that Specsavers
do not have to make the not-inconsiderable investment in electrical wiring for each new
installation. Each unit can be installed in around 15 minutes, with care.
They are located INSIDE the shop, making them virtually vandal-proof as a result, and carry
a comprehensive 2-year manufacturer warranty.

The products are designed, manufactured and tested here in the UK, and meet all of the
required EC standards; minimising timescales when it comes to options or customisation -
such as the 'Specsavers' Green door templates and transmission units.
The units are finished in 'Specsavers' Green corporate livery and logo at no additonal cost;
a benefit which was very well received and appreciated.
